Kynren — An Epic Tale of England is a breathtaking live-action outdoor theatre spectacular set against the magnificent backdrop of Auckland Castle in Bishop Auckland. This multi-award-winning show takes audiences on a thrilling journey through 2,000 years of British history, myth, and legend.
The 90-minute performance begins at dusk and ends under the stars, featuring a cast and crew of over 1,000 volunteers, real horses, spectacular pyrotechnics, stunning water effects, and incredible set pieces. From Roman legions to Viking invasions, medieval battles to the Industrial Revolution, the show brings history to life on an epic scale.
Running on Saturday evenings through the summer, Kynren is one of the North East's most spectacular attractions and a truly unforgettable experience for visitors of all ages.
